“There’s excitement in the air,” said club owner David Southworth. “It’s good to see people out there enjoying the beautiful weather and getting exercise.”

Southworth, who owns Willowbend Country Club on Cape Cod and Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill, praised the state’s measured approach to reopening courses, even if the decision came later than in some neighboring areas.
